Is it just me?

Is it just me or does everyone think that after 2 weeks of working out you should have an amazing body already??? Haha, because I do!! I know it takes A LOT more than that but I wish it didn't!! Anyways, I'm still liking Cross Fit even though it may be giving me man hands... you know those gloves that those guys/girls at the gym wear when they think they are "bad-A?" Well... now I know why they wear them! My hands KILL me at the end of my work outs! I am getting blisters and hope they don't get worse, so.... I broke down and bought some! :)

Running Smunning!

This morning was so hard!!!!! We started off with our warm up....... and just so you know these "warm ups" are more like what my normal work out was before! Ha... anyways after we ran 800 meters..... 4 times! I was like "Oh yeah I can do this with no problem." Right when I started I was practically panting and trying to catch my breath! It probably also didn't help that it was 20 degrees outside! Everyone else was done with their 2nd by the time I was done with my first.... let's just say I was a little more out of shape then I thought.. there was even this older lady there that was kicking my trash!!! Oh well, I'm just going to use the excuse that it's my first week :)

Cross-Fit

Some of my co-teachers have been trying to get me to do cross-fit for months! I finally broke down and started it on Monday.... I haven't walked normal since then! Ha! I love it though! Don't get me wrong, it SUCKS getting up at 5 am to go work out but after I am done I feel great! I love feeling the accomplishment of finishing a workout.. and also waking up that early! I know this isn't "Brandi's Fitness Blog" but I am going to sort of start making this my journal to tell about my experience.
This week we have done A LOT of push-ups, pull-ups (which I have never done before and they hurt), squats, and rowing! I look forward to going everyday because it is always something new! The coaches are awesome and really give you good feedback! It's nice not to be in a crowded gym where everyone can't stop looking at themselves in the mirror!! I had all my measurements and weigh-ins done... kind of opens your eyes when it is all written down on paper, but it is sure a motivator! It also doesn't hurt to have other people there with rockin bod's that give you that extra boost! :)
So as of now, well technically Monday, I am not eating sugar.... so don't tempt me!! And I am only eating very little carbs with lots of lean meat, fruits, and veggies! Wish me luck! :)

hApPy NeW yEaR*

Our friends, Justin and Allie flew in to Salt Lake for New Years weekend. We went and got them on New Year's Eve and went to check into our hotel at the Grand America. We stayed in a suite there and it was sooo nice! We had some dinner and watched the fireworks, nothing major since we didn't get them from the airport until late. The next morning the boys did their thing while me and Allie went shopping :) We met up later that day for lunch then we went to the Jazz vs Grizzlies game. We were so excited because we had Executive Suite tickets that had special parking, dinner, and everything. It was really nice..... unfortunately we didn't get to do that because the boys had rubber on their shoes.... I don't know if it's just me but I thought every shoe had rubber on them...?????? I was sooooo mad!!! I guess they really mean business when they say the club is strict on your what you wear! Anyways, they gave us lower bowl tickets, and we had a great time.
